WHAT IS RUQYAH ?

When you or your loved ones fall sick you go above and beyond to get complete cure. Nowadays, we have many ways of healing like medicines, natural ingredients, alternative medicine, etc. One way of healing that is not known much is Ruqyah. Our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم has taught us how we can make use of the powerful verses of The Quran and duas to get shifa (cure).

RUQYAH basically means qur'anic healing
n of The Quran, dhikr and duas on a person seeking refuge in Allah  عزوجل. It is used to treat sicknesses and other problems. 

Ruqyah can be done to cure any PHYSICAL or MENTAL illness, BLACK MAGIC, EVIL EYE and JINN POSSESSIONS.

SHAR'EEY RUQYAH DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY SHIRK  (invoking other than Allah, amulets, magic, incantations, etc.)

BASIC PRINCIPLE 1 - PERFORM IT YOURSELF

Reciting RUQYAH by YOUR OWN SELF is the "actual method." It is a SUNNAH (prophetic teaching) and a BETTER PRACTICE than going to a RAAQI ( the one who performs Ruqyah)

Following is a SAHEEH HADEETH recorded in MUSLIM and Al BUKHARI -

The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, " Seventy thousand of my ummah will enter Paradise without being brought to account; they are the ones who did not ask for ruqyah or believe in omens or use cautery and they put their trust in their Lord.”

This is because of the perfection in their TAWHEED  ❤

Those who ask for ruqyah from others are NOT included in that seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being brought to account. This is due to the imperfection in their TAWHEED and TRUST in ALLAH عزوجل. Asking for RUQYAH involves a kind of HUMILIATION and need of the RAAQI to CURE.

SEEKING SHAR'EEY RUQYAH FROM A RAAQI IS NOT HARAM

It is PERMISSIBLE but not recommended because it is CONTRARY to what is the BEST. So AVOID approaching a Raaqi every now and then. Sometimes people just experience a WASWASA that they need to be recited upon when in actual they are NOT really inflicted.

Whether you may be inflicted or not, if you experience such waswasa, YOU CAN BY ALL MEANS RECITE RUQYAH UPON YOURSELF AND THIS IS BEST FOR YOU. 

On the other hand there may be situations, for example, JINN POSSESSION wherein seeking HELP from a trusted Raaqi becomes MANDATORY.

TAWHEED IS THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION

If there is a need to approach a Raaqi one MUST do that but with COMPLETE FAITH that the ultimate source of cure is ALLAH عزوجل . The Raaqi and the Ruqyah itself is only a means that ALLAH عزوجل  has created for us while there is no cure except by the WILL of ALLAH عزوجل.

WHAT IF SOMEONE OFFERS TO RECITE ON YOU WITHOUT YOU ASKING THEM ?

If someone ( example - your mother/friend ) OFFERS to recite on you without you asking them then you should NOT STOP them.

If we go by the meaning of the hadeeth quoted above then THIS IS COMPLETELY FINE. 

In the same way, if you want to RECITE upon your inflicted child/friend, you should do it.

This does not rule you out from being one of those seventy thousand.

BASIC PRINCIPLE 2 -  RECITE IT

Some people think that merely Playing specific Quranic verses on the phone/laptop and LISTENING to it is enough. THIS IS WRONG. Another basic principle of Ruqyah is "Reciting it with tongue" (either by you or someone else).

HOW TO PERFORM RUQYAH YOURSELF ?

With all that being said, now lets look at the ways in which you can perform Ruqyah on yourself without approaching anyone. 

Gather the PALMS of your HANDS and recite in them the RUQYAH and then BLOW in your hands and wipe your face, hands or area that is ill.

You can also take WATER (if you have zamzam, this is best. If not, normal water would do) and RECITE 3, 5 or 7 TIMES the following over it and blow every time you recite it:

SURAH Al FATIHA, AYATUL KURSI ,the LAST 2 VERSES of SURATUL BAQARAH and the LAST 3 SURAH of THE QURAN.

There are also few VERSES from THE QURAN and other DUAS taught by our PROPHET صلى الله عليه وسلم  which can be RECITED. These can be easily found in any handbook of AL RUQYAH AL SHAR'IYYA.

DRINK this WATER in the MORNING , in the AFTERNOON and before going to BED and if needed, wipe the affected body parts with this water.

Repeat day in and day out till you find proper solution and cure. In sha Allah !
